Babycakes Vending offers delicious Oriental-style cupcakes from state-of-the-art vending machines located in some of the busiest retail areas in the UK. Our cakes are made to a special recipe that keeps them fresh for up to 5 days, and they are healthier to boot!
Drawing design cues from Japanese vending concepts, we have designed a custom-made vending unit that offers a bright colour touchscreen and colourful kawaii-style cartoons and art to draw in customers. BabyCakes’ smart vending machines are bright, fun and easy to use!
Our first trial units have shown great promise. The data collected suggests that the majority of our customers come back time and again for our amazing cakes.
The first machine is located in one of the UK’s most iconic shopping centres, Lakeside in Thurrock. The scalability and truly international appeal of the product means our goal is to have vending machines in every major airport and shopping centre worldwide.

Our founders - Jamie-Leigh
What started with her great idea of a cool futuristic cupcake vending machine she has made come a reality, designing the machine & menu. Putting together a team to make Babycakes Vending a success! Following an extensive career in the hospitality industry spanning 20 years, Jamie-Leigh co-owned a St Andrews restaurant specialising in baked goods, quickly becoming the number one place to eat in the area. Having rubbed shoulders with culinary legends such as Gordon Ramsay, Clarissa Dickson-Wright and Brian Turner, Jamie-Leigh is no stranger to exacting standards and attention to detail, and brings her dedication and skills to this exciting venture.
Our founders - Nino
Nino has a 20-year career in the technology industry, working with some of the biggest names in the IT world through his own business. His passion for technology and experience in disrupting traditional consumer models through automation have been instrumental in bringing Babycakes Vending to a operational business. Aside from the technical stuff, Nino is also a keen cook and plays a pivotal role in quality control and new recipe ideas, and is always happy to taste-test a new batch; who wouldn’t be!
